1. Who we are

LYNX is a service of Nebula Holdings V.B.A., registered with the Aruba Chamber of Commerce under number H53218.0. “LYNX”, “we” and “us” mean Nebula Holdings V.B.A. You can reach us at brian@lynx.aw.

These terms apply when you use the LYNX app, the website app.lynx.aw, or a LYNX page reached from a taxi, a hotel, a QR code or NFC. By creating an account or using LYNX you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use LYNX.

2. What LYNX does

LYNX helps you explore Aruba and get a taxi. It shows places, deals and events, and it lets you call or book a taxi from independent, licensed taxi drivers in Aruba.

  • LYNX is not a taxi company. The ride is provided by the driver who accepts it, and the driver is responsible for it.
  • LYNX takes no part in payment.Fares follow Aruba’s official taxi rates and are paid directly to the driver. LYNX adds no fees. A driver may charge an extra fee for paying by card; that fee is the driver’s, not LYNX’s.
  • A request is not a guarantee: a driver may not be available, and a driver or rider may cancel.

3. Your account

  • Give your real name and a phone number a driver can reach. Keep your login to yourself.
  • You must be 18 or older to create an account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Account, Delete my account, as described on app.lynx.aw/account/delete.

4. Messages and behaviour: zero tolerance

Riders and drivers can message each other during a ride. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use LYNX to:

  • harass, threaten, insult or intimidate anyone;
  • send hateful, discriminatory, sexual or violent content;
  • send spam, scams or anything illegal;
  • pretend to be someone else.

What we do about it

  • Messages are checked for offensive words before they are sent: some words are hidden, and messages containing slurs or sexual language are not sent at all.
  • Anyone can report a problem or block the other person from the conversation. A block stops their messages to you immediately and tells us.
  • We review every report within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or end the access of anyone who breaks these rules, without notice.

5. Places, deals and events

Information about businesses, deals and events comes from those businesses and from public sources. It can change without notice; check with the business before relying on it. Some places are shown because they pay to be featured; these are labelled Sponsored.

6. Your privacy

How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy.

7. Limits of our responsibility

We work to keep LYNX accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, and we cannot promise it will always work or be error-free. As far as the law of Aruba allows, LYNX is not liable for the acts of drivers, businesses or other users, or for indirect losses arising from using LYNX.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Aruba.
